As soon as the date of move-out approaches, it’s necessary to bring the entire apartment to the state in which you took it from the landlord - that in most cases means general cleaning along with the packing of all your stuff (especially those valuable, such as personal documents, money, and electronics).
We recommend you to pay an extra attention while cleaning the apartment, because in case of necessary additional cleaning the landlord may require payment of the cleaning costs up to CZK 500 according to the lease agreement (article 4 - Tenant's duties).
TIP: If you have accumulated some basic food materials such as flour, pasta, salt and other during your stay, it is completely up to you if you leave it in the kitchen for the next tenants or if you throw them away (however, we recommend to leave only full or slightly empty packages of a durable character and to throw away the fluids).
The returning of an apartment back to the landlord is usually around 11 o'clock, but it is up to the individual agreement of both of you (again we recommend to discuss this via Messages in My Housing app). We also recommend you to document the whole apartment once again via camera and return the apartment ideally personally to the landlord - you can avoid many other problems.
The signature of the handover protocol should be the part of the whole process of returning the apartment back to the landlord.
