Yes, you can accept cash payments from tenants who are renting with you via Flatio. However, cash payments are not acceptable for the first month’s rent. The first rental payment must be paid by online payment (by credit or debit card using payment gateway) or bank transfer within 24 hours after you approve the reservation request as part of the contractual process.
If a tenant would like to pay you in cash for subsequent months, please contact our customer support, either by phone or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will manually mark the payment in the system as paid. Then, the Flatio commission for this payment will be deducted from the following rent.
If there is no other rent payment, or the amount of the new payment does not cover the commission due, then you will have to pay the commission fee to us directly. We will bill you for this in the next monthly statement.
