Basically it is simple. Everything begins with the creation of a reservation request, which let the landlord know that you are interested in his housing. In the detail of each apartment you will find a reservation request block, in which it is necessary to select the date range for which you need the chosen housing (fields Move-in and Move-out).
If you can choose both dates, congratulations, housing is most likely available in the desired period. By selecting the beginning and end dates of your stay, the Flatio website will show you a precise breakdown of the rent including all fees.
If you are satisfied with what you see, by pressing the Reservation Request button you will be admitted to the reservation process, where you must fill in both the mandatory details (first name, last name, etc.) and information about yourself, based on which the landlord decides whether he/she approves the reservation request or not. We therefore highly recommend you to fill in as much information about yourself and the purpose of your stay as possible. A reservation request is basically your business card.
Once you complete all the steps in the reservation process, the reservation request will be sent to the landlord who has 24 hours to approve or reject it. In case of approval, the draft of lease agreement is created and signed by the landlord at the moment of approval.
You will then have to complete the contractual process within 24 hours after the approval consisting of: reading and signing the lease agreement (online with an authorization code), uploading a copy of your ID card and paying your first rent together with the service fee.
Upon completion of the contractual process steps along with the physical crediting of the money to the Flatio collection account, the lease agreement becomes valid with all of its rights and obligations. The lease agreement is concluded directly between you and the landlord, so any adjustments need to be approved by the counterparty.
After completing the contractual process, the contacts on landlord will be unlocked in My Housing web app - at that point, there is nothing preventing you from negotiating directly with the landlord about handover of the apartment.
